Following a brief break in the action to attend the 2008 Teen Choice Awards last Sunday, Vanessa Hudgens picked right back up where she’d left off on her US summer tour.

Over the past week, Ms Hudgens has performed shows in Wisconsin, Georgia and Michigan, with another gig scheduled at the New York County Fair later this evening.

There has been widespread speculation about an affair between former Senator John Edwards and 44-year-old Rielle Hunter as of late.  And now the former Democratic Presidential Candidate has come out and confirmed that he is guilty.

In a statement released to press, Edwards describes the affair, which took place in 2006, as a serious error in judgment, and says that he’s deeply ashamed of his conduct.

She’s been globe-hopping all week, and yesterday (August Paris Hilton finally returned to her Los Angeles, California home.
